Wayzata is one of the softer competitive markets in the west metro, and for a homeowner that cuts both ways: fewer established names, and less route congestion when a storm is bad. The published metro range applies. The one question that decides a Wayzata quote is where else on the lake the operator already works.
The ranges below are what established Twin Cities operators publish for the metro. None of them publishes a Wayzata-specific price, and this site does not invent one. Wayzata falls inside these ranges for the reasons in the next section.

Route density is the price. The large west-metro operators run deep page networks across Maple Grove, Edina and Plymouth; coverage in Wayzata is thinner and more fragmented. An operator who already has six driveways on your street can quote you at the bottom of the range; one who has to drive out from Plymouth for your driveway alone cannot. Ask where else nearby they work before you compare numbers.
The parking ban has a hinge. The trigger is 2 inches and the ban starts at 2 a.m. — but if the 2 inches fell before 8 p.m., the ban begins at 2 a.m. the next morning, and if after 8 p.m., 2 a.m. the following day. It runs until streets are plowed to the curb line, with tagging and towing. The city runs a snow hotline at 952-404-5369 after 8 p.m. and a Notify Me alert service, so there is no real excuse for a ticket here.
No published sidewalk rule. Wayzata publishes no owner deadline, fine or clear-and-bill provision, so the public walk is in scope only by your choice. Driveway plus the walk to the door is the $600 to $750 tier for a two-to-three-car apron; a long drive prices above it, and this site states no typical dimensions because the city publishes none.
No ticket, tow, sidewalk fine or mailbox reimbursement amount appears on the city’s snow pages; the parking-ban page promises tagging and towing without a figure. The statewide penalty for snow in the street applies: a misdemeanor under Minn. Stat. § 169.42, $400 minimum on a second offense, reaching the homeowner who caused it.
The Minnesota DNR counts an average of 7.6 days a season with two inches or more at the Twin Cities station. At the published $75 to $100 a visit that is $570 to $760, against a $600 to $750 seasonal contract on the same property. In an average winter the two are the same money. Wayzata’s 2-inch trigger matches the contract standard, so the city’s own ban declarations are a fair count of how many visits a per-visit season would have run. The full comparison.
No Wayzata-specific rate is published. Established Twin Cities operators publish $600 to $750 a season for a suburban driveway and front walk and $45 to $100 a visit. In Wayzata the deciding factor is route density — an operator already working your street can quote lower than one driving out for a single property.
