Minneapolis requires a corner property to clear not only both sidewalk frontages but the curb cutouts and crosswalk ramps out to the street gutter. Those ramps sit at the lowest, most exposed point on the block, and they are precisely what the city plow refills on its next pass.
The practical effect is that a corner lot is not “a bit more sidewalk.” It is three to four times the labor of the house mid-block, on a repeating basis, with a piece that has to be redone after the street is plowed. An operator quoting a corner lot at interior-lot pricing has either not looked at the property or is planning to skip the ramps.
